• Amla (or Amlaka or Amalakai) is one of the most commonly used Ayurvedic medicinal herbs. It is the fruit of a plant with the Latin name Phyllantus emblica or Emblica officinalis.
• Due to the appearance of clusters of fruits, Amla earned the nickname "Indian gooseberry". Amalakai fruits are used in Indian medicine for both internal and external use.
• One of the most common methods of processing these fruits is drying and then grinding them into a fine powder - Amla.

Use

• Amla is mainly used in cosmetic products, where it acts as a highly effective conditioner or a nourishing vitamin mask. Amla boasts a wide range of vitamins and valuable substances.

• It should be noted that Amla has a slight coloring effect (light brown shade). It is therefore very advisable to use disposable gloves when applying the Amla paste to avoid discolouration of the skin of the hands.
