• The Indian variety is known as Tagettes or Genda
• Petals and pollen of Calendula officinalis contain triterpenoid esters and carotenoids flavaxanthin and auroxanthin (antioxidants and source of yellow-orange coloring).
• The leaves and stems contain other carotenoids, mostly lutein (80%), zeaxanthin (5%) and beta-carotene.
• Calendula flowers are a rich source of lutein with a content of 29.8 mg/100 g.
• Origin: Egypt, made in England
• Raw materials for the production of candles and cosmetics.

Use

• Calendula wax can be added to natural skin care, facial massage oils, creams, etc. at 5 to 15%
