Characteristics

Basic procedure for cold emulsification

  • Put the oil phase and this emulsifier in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the water and preservatives. Slowly pour the water phase into the oil phase and stir vigorously. It is important to add the water phase very, very slowly and with constant and thorough mixing. For thicker emulsions, add 0.5 to 5% magnesium stearate (depending on the required viscosity). With constant stirring, a homogeneous cream will be created. A low dose (0.5-1%) of magnesium will help you stabilize the emulsion without making it too thick.
  • The greater the amount of water phase, the more the emulsion will be thicker. The greater the amount of oil phase, the more fluid the emulsion will be. The higher the proportion of vegetable oil (8% max) in the oil phase, the stronger the emulsion will be. The higher the magnesium content, the thicker the cream will be.

Use

  • Mix with other surfactants to create a foaming product with skin cleansing capabilities. Works great when mixed with Cocamidipropyl betaine.
  • Recommended level of use: 20% - 30% oil phase can be emulsified with 4% - 6% polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate. Stabilization can be achieved by adding 0.5% - 1% NaCl or 0.5% - 1% MgSO4
  • Moisturizing and protective face and body creams, anti-wrinkle / anti-aging care, cleansing milks
  • With this emulsifier of vegetable origin, emulsions "water in oil" or "skin cream" can be easily created without the risk of disturbing the sensitivity of vegetable oils. It is suitable for all skin types. It can also be used in emulsions that contain magnesium stearate.
  • Effective emulsifier for water-in-oil preparations. Polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate is extremely skin-friendly and gentle, making it ideal for products targeting sensitive areas of the skin.
