Description

What will you need?

- Aloe vera gel

- Dried coconut milk

- Honey powder

- Argan oil

- Liquid silk

- Essential oil Sandalwood

- A bottle for conditioner, possibly a pipette and a stick

How to make it?

First, prepare the bottle in which you plan to store the conditioner - mine is 50 ml, and I derive the following ingredient values from its size, so take this into account and possibly adjust the amount to your needs.

Sift 1 teaspoon of honey powder and 2 teaspoons of dried coconut milk; pour through a funnel or folded paper into your bottle.

A lot of pipetting follows. Take 5 ml of liquid silk with a clean pipette and transfer the liquid to the bottle, also add 5 ml of argan oil. You can replace the pipette with measuring spoons, which I personally like very much, but with pipettes I like to remember the times when we stole them from the chemistry lab at the gym and ate a snack with them, including its solid parts. (A pubescent display of defiance and density, apparently.)

2-3 drops from a glass with essential oil of sandalwood. If you are not into woody aromas, you can leave out the essential oil or replace it with another, but it has a purpose in the conditioner. Although I admit that it slightly overpowers the sweet coconut scent that the dried coconut milk imparts to the whole mix.

Finally, just fill the contents of the bottle with aloe vera gel. If you have a stick handy, gently stir the entire mix before screwing on the cap and turning yourself into a conditioner bartender. After a minute of shaking, the conditioner should be beautifully homogeneous; its resulting structure is identical to the conditioners we are all used to.

Done! Use your new conditioner as you normally would; just apply to the lengths of the hair after shampooing, wait a few moments and wash off. Or try using it as a mask - apply to wet hair, wrap under a plastic cap and wash off in 15-20 minutes.

Why does it work?

The main ingredient, aloe vera gel , is simply the bomb, whether you use it in creams or in hair cosmetics. It does not burden the hair, but strengthens it, nourishes it and gives it shine; although we have another star for that shine – liquid silk.

Liquid silk, or rather silk proteins, help to heal damaged hair cells, thereby giving hair strength, but they also help detangle hair. Completed and therefore sleeker hair also means a higher shine. In addition, liquid silk is also a fighter against hair drying.

However, argan oil is an expert in maintaining moisture – it provides nourishment and protects the hair against external influences, it should also mitigate the consequences of possible blow-drying, ironing and similar human conveniences. If your hair is very dry, don't be afraid to slightly increase the ratio of argan oil - but really add little by little. A light conditioner could turn into a fiendish thing that will make you look like you're going to wash your hair in soft-dish fritters.

Vitamin E and fats contained in coconut milk will add juice to the hair; tired ends get extra moisture and shine. And honey powder is also a fighter when it comes to protection against drying; ranks among the best natural moisturizers ever.

Sandalwood essential oil is considered one of the best fighters against split ends. If you don't like woody aromas, try chamomile or sage. Anyway – did you know that sandalwood is a powerful aphrodisiac? Just toss your head and the world is at your feet. :)

Personally, I am absolutely delighted with the conditioner. The aroma is not strong, but it is very pleasant, the hair is not weighed down, it combs well. Although the conditioner contains as many nourishing ingredients as the oil itself, the hair does not look greasy, but at first glance it is healthy and nourished.
