Description

What will be needed?

Aqueous phase

- 45 ml of rose water

Oil phase

- 8g of cocoa butter

- 30 ml of marigold oil (almond, lavender) – you can choose

Emulsifiers

- 2g of soy lecithin (one teaspoon)

How to do it?

Pour the lecithin into the rose water and let it stand for about an hour, then mix the granules.

Mix cocoa butter, calendula oil (or other oil) and beeswax and dissolve everything in a water bath.

Heat the rose water with mixed lecithin to approx. 50°C.

Pour the oil phase into a container and put the whole container in a pot of cold water (the point is that you have to mix until the cream cools down a bit, so that the oil does not separate from the water) and immerse the mixer in the oils, turn it on and pour the water part. Mix until the cream is ready (you can replace the immersion blender with a whisk). You can add essential oils to the cooled cream at your discretion.

For the shelf life of the cream, you can add a preservative (grapefruit seed extract, naticide, cosgard).

Without added preservative, if the buttermilk is not in the refrigerator - shelf life 7 to 14 days.

You can make calendula oil by putting calendula flowers (or other herbs) in soybean oil and leaving it for min. macerate for 24 hours.
