Keratin hair serum - natural hair protection and regeneration

Keratin hair serum that is comparable in effectiveness to what you can buy at a hair salon for a lot of money? Yes, that's exactly what we'll make together today! This serum is also kind to the planet and made from ethically sourced ingredients. We use vegetable keratin, add other natural helpers to it and mix everything in a reusable bottle.

The produced keratin serum is sanctified even by hair specialists and hairdressers, and its qualities are of course also confirmed by our radiant manes, which are much shinier, stronger and without broken ends with regular use. The serum brings not only regeneration, but also protection against damage during hair treatment. It's really great!

What can it do?

Keratin serum penetrates the hair cuticle and restores damaged areas, helping to improve hair structure and strength. It is ideal for hair damaged by colouring, heat or chemical treatments.

The serum helps tame unruly hair and minimizes frizz. Thanks to this, the hair is easier to manage and holds its shape better. Because keratin smoothes the hair fiber and gives it a healthy shine, hair will look smoother, softer and healthier. The serum will also provide the hair with the necessary hydration and nutrition, which will not only improve the overall appearance of your mane, but especially help prevent breakage and split ends. Keratin strengthens hair from the inside and protects it from further damage from adverse environmental influences such as sunlight, pollution and heat treatments.

What do we put in it?

The star of today's recipe is, of course, Vege-Keratin. This is a plant-based alternative to traditional keratin, which is usually obtained from animal sources such as feathers or wool. Vege-keratin is made from plant proteins, our eco-keratin specifically from wheat. It is perfect for hair products, but it is also popularly used in skin and nail products.

And why use it? Vege-Keratin helps hydrate and strengthen hair and skin, similar to traditional keratin. Thanks to its smaller molecular size, vege-keratin is more easily absorbed into the hair and skin. It protects the hair from damage and supports the regeneration of damaged hair fibers.

We will improve the already great serum a little more with a great active ingredient called Pentavitin. Pentavitin is a natural, plant-based carbohydrate complex, also known as Saccharide Isomerate. Pentavitin can keep hair and skin hydrated for up to 72 hours after use by binding to keratin (aha! :)) and ensuring long-lasting hydration. This improves the appearance of the hair and supports its health at the same time. But you can also use it on the skin, especially dry skin, which will relieve it very quickly and leave it soft and smooth.

You create a luxurious serum using distilled water. But if you want something really excellent, use hydrolate instead of water. Flower waters, also known as hydrolates, are a great natural product for not only hair care. This is because they contain essential oils and active ingredients obtained from plants that can strengthen, hydrate and improve hair health. Depending on the characteristics of your hair or skin, you can choose which type to go for.

Rose water hydrates, soothes the scalp, helps reduce dandruff and leaves hair soft and shiny.

Rosemary water stimulates hair growth, improves blood circulation in the scalp, strengthens hair follicles and prevents hair loss.

Lavender water soothes the scalp, promotes hair growth, helps reduce itching and dandruff.

Mint water refreshes and cools the scalp, improves blood circulation, helps reduce itching and irritation.

Chamomile water relieves irritated scalp, adds shine and softness to hair, and also lightens natural blonde hair.

Tea tree water provides antibacterial and antifungal effects, helps against dandruff and itchy scalp.

Neroli water (from orange blossom) hydrates the hair, adds shine, soothes the scalp and has a soft, soothing scent.

The serum probably doesn't need to smell. But we all know the wonderful feeling when a pleasant aroma wafts from our manes. And we definitely recommend smelling this hair product as well. You can choose any scent that is dilutable with water. So be careful, classic essential oils or fragrance oils will not be ideal here. Use one of our aromatic extracts, which are water-soluble and thus disperse safely throughout the serum volume. If you want to play, mix the aromas - a combination of coconut extract with chocolate aroma or vanilla extract with pear is absolutely fantastic. And exotic mango or sweet caramel is also perfect. Yum!

Now let's mix.

What does it take?

- 7ml of Vege-keratin

- 2ml of Pentavitin (Saccharide Isomerate)

- 2ml of water-soluble fragrances - extracts and aromas

- 0.6ml of Cosgard preservative

- About 87ml of distilled water or floral water

- Plastic pipette

- 100ml spray bottle

How to do it?

Measure Vege-Keratin, Pentavitin, Cosgard and selected fragrances into a 100ml bottle with a pipette. Then fill the bottle with distilled water or your chosen flower water. Close the bottle, shake well, and a great keratin serum is born!

How to use it?

The serum can be used on damp hair to protect against damage during styling, as well as on dry hair before classic combing for instant smoothness and shine.
