Characteristics and properties

• Plantapon® SF is ideal for the production of natural cosmetics, without preservatives. The ingredients are based on purely vegetable origin. Plantapon® SF is easy to process due to its low viscosity. Plantapon® SF is ideally used for the production of shampoos, shower gels and cleaning gels.
• Features: good foaming, skin-friendly, prevents dehydration.
• The subtle aroma of Plantapon® SF is pleasant, so the finished product can be tested according to requirements. This mixture of surfactants has good foaming properties and cleans well.
• Plantapon® SF was specifically designed in 2006 as a "green" product for the natural cosmetics market, which is easy to process and meets consumer expectations in terms of consistency, washing behavior, gentleness and beautiful lather.
• Does not contain preservatives.
• Plantapon® SF is a gentle blend of skin-friendly surfactants for shower and cleansing gels as well as shampoos. Since Plantapon® SF already contains glycerin, you should avoid additional ingredients.
• PH value (undiluted): approximately PH 6.5-7.5

Processing

• Stir gently during processing to minimize foaming. After that, the water phase and the active substances dissolved in it are gradually added in small sips and gently mixed in until everything is well dispersed (the consistency decreases significantly).
• It is now maintained and eventually the pH adjusts to around pH 5-5.5. The final consistency now forms almost suddenly. If you wish, you can scent the product.
• Important: consistency is usually obtained only after adding acid and adjusting the pH to the acidic range; the product suddenly thickens. If the consistency is not satisfactory, more salt can be added or you can add xanthan as a suitable thickener.
• Recommended dosage: 0.1 - 40%
