Characteristics

The main components of rice bran wax are aliphatic acids (wax acids) and higher alcohol esters.
Rice bran wax also contains unsaponifiable components such as free fatty acids (palmitic acid), squalene and phospholipids.
Melting point: 77-81 °C

Use and dosage

Add to the oil phase in the amount of 0.1 to 20% depending on the type of formulation.
A classic cream will require less than 1% wax while a lip balm will contain around 10%.
Solubility: in hot fats
Dosage 0.1 - 20%
