Description

Before we get down to making the sun-like fragrant treats, we need to say a few words about the amazing ingredients we've shoved into it. Everything in it has its meaning and an irreplaceable role!

Sunny

We wanted to create a product that would provide the necessary nourishment and protection to skin that is quite stressed in the summer, the use of which would be a joy in itself (no endless rubbing and stickiness happening here), and whose appearance and fragrance would transport us to exotic lands, even though this year most of us will spend the holidays in Czech meadows and groves. :) The idea of a body butter was born, which will give the skin a healthy, juicy look and a soft shine, which will support the color of sun-kissed skin. Butter that will provide natural protection from the sun's rays and at the same time soothe irritated skin after tanning. And it worked, the result is unbeatable!

Everyone to the party

The magic and power of this butter lies in the right combination of vegetable butters and oils, which are perfect for summer days.

Mango butter

The basis is mango butter, the number one advantage of which is excellent absorbency - it does not leave unpleasant grease on the skin and does not suffocate our pores. The last thing we want on hot days is to be "sticky" even more than necessary. Of course, that's not all, because mango butter is a really capable product. We know that the sun somehow accelerates the aging process of the skin - and mango butter acts as an effective brake. It contains a lot of antioxidants, but also vitamin E, which works against wrinkles, but also works as a great prevention. It wonderfully hydrates dry skin and is also suitable for gentle care of eczematous skin. In addition, mango butter perfectly "disappears" stretch marks and scars, which bother us internally more in the summer than on cold days when we are covered in sweaters and pants

Karanja oil

We added karanja oil to the mango butter, the new star of the summer, about which you can read the whole article here. Karanja oil is extremely rich in omega-9 saturated acids, which significantly support the healing and regeneration of the skin. It contains a large amount of flavonoids, which are known for their antioxidant properties and positive benefits for the human body. In addition, flavonoids have an excellent effect against UV radiation, which they can absorb. Karanja oil therefore increases the "resistance" of the skin against the sun and protects it from damage. It will give our butter not only great effects, but also a beautiful, deep orange color.

Carrot and raspberry oil

Raspberry and carrot oil are staples of summer cosmetics. They are unsurpassed in the production of after-sun products for the skin and in protective formulations for hair. These two natural wonders are often associated with a high SPF protection factor - but this is not so clear-cut, rather it turns out that it is better to reach for other oils in tanning products for the skin - if you are more interested in the issue of vegetable oils for tanning, definitely do not miss this article. But this does not mean that raspberry and carrot oil do not deserve attention and a place on the cosmetics shelf. On the contrary!

Raspberry oil is highly rich in vitamin E, which makes using raspberry oil in the summer when you come back from the water or the park almost a must! Among its great properties is the fact that it acts as an antioxidant and therefore slows down the aging process of the skin, which we will certainly welcome in the summer, when our skin is under more stress than ever.

Bright sunny carrot oil full of beta-carotene and vitamins A, B, C, D and E keeps the skin in a luxurious condition, even if we give it a hard time. It is great for all formulations for mature or tired skin (which we all have in the summer, whether we are eighteen or eighty :)), it accelerates healing and regeneration. In addition, thanks to carotenoids, it gives the skin a darker shade and a healthy appearance, and at the same time prolongs the duration of the tan.

Vitamin E

It is important to have the right dose of all vitamins, and with vitamin E, this also applies externally. It has a firming effect on our skin, just like mango butter and karanja oil, it also works against scars, it is a natural anti-aging agent and can help us to have radiant skin.

Pineapple scent

Mango, raspberry, carrot... one would immediately expect delicious flavors and refreshing aromas. But! These vegetable fats are made from the seeds, not the juicy flesh, so they won't add flavor to our butter. But we don't mind at all! Thanks to this, we can win with the scent and choose the one we want to smell in the summer. Because the butter is a beautiful yellow-orange, we like the fresh sweet aroma of ripe pineapples, which has the power to transport us, at least in our thoughts, under an umbrella on a sandy beach next to the splashing ocean. If pineapple doesn't agree with your nose, of course reach for another scent, for example, a melon or mango aromatic extract will be great (you can add it to food too!), the smell of mimosa and yellow watermelon, or perhaps the juicy citrus composition Citrus burst, will be great.

A little clay

And here's a little trick... We like to add a little clay to our body butters. It not only thickens and strengthens the product nicely, but mainly ensures a pleasant "dryness" of the butter in the sense that you won't feel like an oily eye after applying it. We used a combination of bentonite and white kaolin, but you can also use yellow clay, which will go well with our oils.

A pinch of mica powder

Sun-kissed skin tends to have a beautiful color, but too much sun can make it look dull and a bit saggy. A pinch of gold and peach mica powder will give the skin a healthy shine and a gentle shimmer, which will make the skin glow and you will shine in the sunlight and moonlight like the star you have been for a long time. :)

We know the ingredients of a summer beauty, so let's mix it up!

Sunshine body butter with an exotic scent and a subtle shimmer

What does it take?

- 30 grams of mango butter

- 15 grams of karanja oil

- 10 grams of raspberry oil

- 7 grams of carrot oil

- 1.5 grams of your favorite clay

- 1 gram of vitamin E (in oil)

- 0.5 grams of pineapple fragrance

- Sunbeam Gold and Just Peachy mica powder as desired

- A container with a content of at least 60 ml - for example, this one made of dark glass will be absolutely beautiful

How to do it?

We will prepare a water bath, so a slightly larger pot into which we pour three to five centimeters of water. We slide the pot onto the stove and let the water heat up. Add mango butter, karanja oil, raspberry oil, carrot oil and clay to a heat-resistant bowl. Place the bowl in the prepared water bath and let everything dissolve on a low flame.

In the meantime, we will prepare a cooling bowl that is large enough to fit the bowl that is being heated. Then fill it roughly halfway with cold water and ice cubes. Do not skip this step, we will cool the product while mixing, thanks to which it will acquire an unmistakable soft texture and fine consistency.

When everything is dissolved, remove the heat-resistant bowl from the water bath and place it in a bowl of ice. Stir well for about a minute, then add vitamin E, pineapple scent and, if desired, a pinch of both mica powders.

We stir until a "trace" is formed - soap makers know, non-soap makers will wait until our wooden spoon or other stirrer begins to leave behind a faint trail - the mass is just stiff enough that after mixing in the mixture, the wooden spoon's mark will be visible for a while. We are looking for the consistency of, for example, honey or condensed milk. At this stage, we can start dispensing the cream into the container.

Then let it sit for at least 6 hours, but be careful not to rush and put the cream in the fridge!

After patiently waiting, we can now enjoy our new summer body butter with an exotic scent and exceptional abilities. You can then also use it during a massage, the consistency is perfect for it, the butter starts to melt immediately after contact with moist skin, it spreads excellently, it is absorbed quickly enough and the wonderful aroma will only help you relax! And don't worry, even if the butter is this bright orange, you won't be that color!
