    Botanical name: Indigofera suffruticosa, syn. Indigofera
    Origin of the plant: El Salvador
    Breeding method: maceration from fresh plants, filtration, precipitation, drying and grinding.
    Production method: Craft production according to traditional methods. The harvested indigo leaves are washed, then ground on a stone mill, turned into balls and slowly air-dried. After drying, the balls are ground into powder and lightly fermented. The indigo paste is dried and then pulverized again in a stone mill.
    Appearance: powder
    Color: dark blue mat
    Solubility: soluble in water, gels, water-phase emulsions (lotions, creams, ...), dispersible semi-solid oil-type phases, including balms

How to achieve the selected color bar?

    • Light blue to dark blue: only by changing the dosage
    • Khaki green: indigo with yellow ocher.
    Blue-green: indigo with chlorophyll Violet: indigo with pink ocher
